Alex Matraxia is a London-based filmmaker, writer, and photographer. They've directed commercial work for clients including Balmain,      10 Magazine, Roundhouse and Sadlers Wells. Their short film Dream Factory premiered in LSFF 2024 and was officially selected at notable festivals including Fantasia International, Aesthetica and NewFest. In 2023 their short film Brief Encounter premiered in Cannes as a finalist of the Straight-8 Film Competition, and they have previously been shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition, as well as receiving the Kodak Film Fund for their latest film Goodnight Ladies. They are currently developing their debut feature, Late Arrivals.
