Alex Matraxia is a London-based filmmaker, writer, and photographer. They've directed commercial work for clients including Balmain, 10 Magazine, and Sadlers Wells. Their short film Afterparty was commissioned by BBC x ICA New Creatives, and their latest film Dream Factory was in partnership with Roundhouse Film Fund. In the past, they’ve been shortlisted for the Sundance Writer’s Lab and the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition. Their super-8 film Brief Encounter premiered in Cannes as a finalist of the Straight-8 Competition. They were the recipient of Future Creatives Writing Prize in 2020, their work published in the Future Creatives anthology, Tomorrow .
